Plenty of colour this month!

April is not as busy as March, but as more and more seeds are planted the longer evenings feel as if they only last a moment! Last month’s seeds can be further planted if a succession of crops is required and then new colourful plants can be added to fill those gaps!
I’ll try and keep it simple, by splitting them as Indoors or Outdoors planting this month!
Indoor Planting
Courgettes: They can be a bit delicate when the weather is not warm enough so find some generously sized yoghurt containers and fill them with water, soil and a couple of seeds! Once they pop up, make sure they’re always well watered and keep at it till June when they can be safely transferred outside.
Sunflowers: They seem to be surviving outdoors but I prefer to keep them by the windowsill until they are strong enough! Plant two seeds in each pot and keep them well watered! Once they seem strong enough feel free to move them outside.

Outdoor Planting
- Peas peas and more peas
- Endives (our canary loves these bitter green leaves too)
- Pak Choi
- Spinach
- Broccoli (make sure to cover with a butterfly net)
- Sweetcorn
- Rocket rocket and more rocket
- Nasturtium for some beautiful colours by the pathways, leaning on the paved areas (you can possibly eat their flowers – read the package for more information!!)
